Individual Trauma Informed Therapy
Therapy for Individuals 18 and older
Individual therapy provides people with a safe and compassionate space where they can explore anything that they are struggling with. Sessions are client-driven and non-restrictive, leaving room for exploration and adjustment. My primary goal is to help clients feel comfortable talking about whatever is on their minds without pressure or an agenda.
Common issues talked about during therapy include:
- History of past or current trauma
- Life transitions
- Relationship troubles or breakups
- Career changes or barriers
- Adjustment issues
- Feelings of hopelessness or isolation
- Dealing with loss or grief
- Depression and anxiety
- Substance and addictive issues
Even when a client comes in with a specific symptom that is distressing them, therapy will often uncover deeper issues that can be addressed as part of the healing process. No matter what a client discloses, I do not pass judgment and unconditionally provide support.
The end goal is for clients to feel more present in the moment and capable of dealing with whatever emotions come up. In addition, individual therapy can often empower people to approach life with more confidence and resolve.

How Often Is Therapy?
Usually, I meet with clients once a week. However, I am also able to accommodate individuals who desire more frequent support. Individual therapy for adults can be either short-term or long-term, depending on the client’s needs. Additionally, treatment does not always end when the initial issues have been dealt with successfully. Sometimes, new problems are uncovered during the therapy process, or recent life events come up that the client needs help with. In any case, I am happy to continue therapy for as long as the client desires.
